What is The Well-Being Classroom?
Books That Help strongly believe in the power of books to empower, inspire and upskill readers, opening up difficult conversations about life’s ups and downs and encouraging empathy. That’s why we’ve created the Well-Being Classroom with ideas for getting the most out of our favourite books.
On this page you will find:
A selection of resources designed to be used at home or in a classroom environment linked to some of our favourite Books That Help (Coming soon!)
A downloadable PDF of Books That Help quotes from authors, illustrators and booksellers
A video of Books That Help quotes from authors, illustrators with an introduction from Sue Atkins.
Did you know that we’ve collaborated with Reading Rocks on our Well-Being Library Bundles? Our thoughtfully-chosen collections will be available from 9th February, and we’ve created well-being resources for each of the selected titles. Find out more here.
Wellbeing Library Bundles
Each pack brings together a selection of Books That Help - stories chosen for their warmth, emotional honesty and potential to open meaningful conversations.
Expertly Curated: We've created packs tailored to each primary school phase (EYFS / KS1 / KS2) — making it easy to select packs for different areas of your school.
Explore Themes and Diversity: We've also assembled themed packs (e.g. celebrating differences, friendships, feelings, etc.) so you can choose books to support the particular needs or focus of your class or school community.
Each book bundle for EYFS, KS1 and KS2 comes with a free to download poster and a set of teaching notes for each book.
